You can come to the station on a meeting night. Business Meetings are held on the second and fourth Mondays at 8:00 p.m. Board of Directors Meetings are held on the Third Monday at 7:30 pm ONCE YOU HAVE MADE THE DECISION TO JOIN: You will need to complete a volunteer application package, application packages are available at the station. Once your package is done you can come to the station and begin to meet your fellow volunteers, attend meetings, and participate in company activities. WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO VOLUNTEER: Membership is open to all persons age 16 and older. Once your application package is complete it will be forwarded for a background check. Once the background check is complete any persons who wish to be an Emergency Medical Technician, Firefighters, or both will be given a date to take a physical, stress test, and drug screen. Associate and Administrative Members are NOT required to take a physical but will have a background check done. The physical and background check are done FREE of charge. WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR THE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT OF BRANDYWINE: YOU CAN SERVE WITH US AS A: - Firefighter - Emergency Medical Technician - Auxiliary - Administrative Member Auxiliary and Administrative Members are not required to participate in Fire and EMS activities or take a physical, but are eligible for all benefits. |
